About the author

Lizaida was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She grew up in a small town, fueled by her dreams and aspirations. Even after leaving her roots behind to move to the United States at fourteen years old, she remained hopeful for a better future. Despite coming from humble beginnings, not knowing English, and starting a family at an incredibly young age, she knew she had something more in her and was determined to fulfill her dreams and aspirations. 

Throughout her life she has faced many difficulties, including a divorce after twenty years of marriage, which left her emotionally and financially drained. She refused to let these challenges define her, and instead she took charge of her life and rose above them. In her book "Rise Above and Own Your Power," she shares her journey and the techniques she used to overcome the most difficult part of it. She believes that no matter what brings you down, you have the power within you to rise above, rewrite your story, and create a fulfilling life. 

In her pursuit of personal and professional development, she has navigated her own path of learning and growth. Engaging in personal development masterclass, workshops, reading and research, she has gained a profound understanding of human behavior and developed a passion for empowering others to see their full potential. Her journey is a testament to the transformative power of continuous learning, resilience, and the belief in the ability to create positive change, both within ourselves and in the lives of others.
